A New Beginning.

Happy Presidents Day.  I took the weekend off and spent some time with my sister Shana, my brother-in-law John, and the best niece in the whole world Meredith.  It was great getting to see them.

Here is what's going on today.  A new book to review.
In a place where ecstasy can cost you your life . . . She's a demon-slayer who hungers for sensual pleasure-but fears it will always be denied her. Until Tayla Mancuso lands in a hospital run by demons in disguise, and the head doctor, Eidolon, makes her body burn with unslakable desire. But to prove her ultimate loyalty to her peers, she must betray the surgeon who saved her life.
Two lovers will dare to risk all.
Eidolon cannot resist this fiery, dangerous woman who fills him with both rage and passion. Not only is she his avowed enemy, but she could very well be the hunter who has been preying upon his people. Torn between his need for the truth and his quest to find his perfect mate before a horrific transformation claims him forever, Eidolon will dare the unthinkable-and let Tayla possess him, body and soul...

Larissa was kind enough to send me a copy of her companion The Demonica Compendium.  A guide to her world, which I am learning is vast compared to most.  I have found myself reading this instead of the book.   I better get back to work or she may crack the whip.  She is an awesome lady.  Be sure to check out her website

A song for Eidolon:

IT'S HERE...IT'S HERE..

I feel like Steve Martin in the Jerk when the new Telephone book comes out.  Here is a clip so you can understand my excitement.

What am I so excited about....

He vowed he'd come for her. . .

Murdered before he could wed Regin the Radiant, warlord Aidan the Fierce seeks his beloved through eternity, reborn again and again into new identities, yet with no memory of his past livesonly an endless yearning.

She awaits his return. . .

When Regin encounters Declan Chase, a brutal Celtic soldier, she recognizes her proud warlord reincarnated. But Declan takes her captive, intending retribution against all immortals, unaware that he belongs to their world.

To sate a desire more powerful than death. . .

Yet every reincarnation comes with a price, for Aidan is doomed to die when he remembers his past. To save herself from Declan's torments, will Regin rekindle memories of the passion they once sharedeven if it means once again losing the only man she could ever love?

I love Regin and now she has her own story.  Declan Chase.  OMG.  What a wonderful character.  We have been waiting 200 years for Aiden to be reincarnated again.  So far there is nothing disappointing about this book.  I LOVE Kresley Cole and you should too.

Monday...Ugh

This is what's going on today.

Celebrating my 23rd Valentine's Day with my wonderful husband.  Our first one was a bit of a rocky start.  Heck, the first 8 months of our relationship was.  Neither of us could decide if we were ready to commit to each other.  However one night in July he called (after a break-up) and told me he would stay with me the rest of his life.  So far he has held up to his end of the bargain.  Our marriage is far from perfect, but after everything I have been through I have realized he truly is my best friend.  He has been there when no one else has.  There is not many people in this world you can say that about.

So HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO THE BEST HUSBAND, FATHER, SON AND BROTHER ANYONE COULD HAVE.   I love you.  Here is one of our songs we like.

What I am reading today

Ethan Wate used to think of Gatlin, the small Southern town he had always called home, as a place where nothing ever changed. Then he met mysterious newcomer Lena Duchannes, who revealed a secret world that had been hidden in plain sight all along. A Gatlin that harbored ancient secrets beneath its moss-covered oaks and cracked sidewalks. A Gatlin where a curse has marked Lena's family of powerful Supernaturals for generations. A Gatlin where impossible, magical, life-altering events happen.
Sometimes life-ending.
Together they can face anything Gatlin throws at them, but after suffering a tragic loss, Lena starts to pull away, keeping secrets that test their relationship. And now that Ethan's eyes have been opened to the darker side of Gatlin, there's no going back. Haunted by strange visions only he can see, Ethan is pulled deeper into his town's tangled history and finds himself caught up in the dangerous network of underground passageways endlessly crisscrossing the South, where nothing is as it seems.-courtesy of GoodReads

Finished....SWEET

The only thing I have really accomplished today is finishing this book.  It was wonderfully fresh.  A whole new concept.  An excellent writer.

A smashing, award-winning debut novel that introduces Charley Davidson: part-time private investigator and full-time Grim Reaper.

Charley sees dead people. That’s right, she sees dead people. And it’s her job to convince them to “go into the light.” But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e. murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she’s been having about an Entity who has been following her all her life...and it turns out he might not be dead after all. In fact, he might be something else entirely.

This is a thrilling debut novel from an exciting newcomer to the world of paranormal romantic suspense.
